Jillian B.

Jillian is a literacy educator with more than 17 years of experience working with students across elementary, middle, and high school settings. Her background includes classroom teaching, literacy instruction, intervention, curriculum development, and coaching fellow educators. Jillian holds a Master of Education in Teaching English as a Second Language, a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education, and is an Associate-level Orton-Gillingham Academy practitioner. She has extensive training and experience in structured literacy, dyslexia, and language-based learning differences, and has worked with students with ADHD, dysgraphia, speech and language disorders, Autism Spectrum Disorder, apraxia, and working-memory challenges. Jillian loves helping students reach those moments when learning begins to click and confidence starts to grow. She believes instruction should be explicit, supportive, and tailored to the individual learner. Her calm, encouraging approach helps students feel comfortable, build trust, and take the risks that meaningful learning often requires. Outside of teaching, Jillian enjoys spending time with her husband, three daughters, and two dogs. She loves exercising, music, camping, coaching youth sports, going to the beach, reading, and cooking.
