Georgia K.

Georgia is a passionate educator with over 15 years of experience in education and dyslexia therapy. She holds a Master’s Degree in Elementary and Special Education from Touro College and has worked with students in grades K-8 since 2009, providing individualized instructional support in Reading and Writing. Georgia’s journey to becoming a Certified Orton-Gillingham Instructor began when she recognized how reading difficulties were hindering students’ progress across all subject areas. In 2014, she furthered her education to become certified in the Orton-Gillingham Approach through the Academy of Orton-Gillingham Practitioners and Educators (AOGPE), drawn to its proven systematic, structured, and multi-sensory method of instruction. Since then, she has observed remarkable improvements in her students’ reading fluency and writing abilities, and finds it incredibly rewarding to watch their confidence grow as they master these essential skills.Georgia believes that all children are capable of achieving their goals when given individualized tools and the right support throughout their learning journey. She is committed to creating an engaging environment that fosters curiosity and a genuine love of learning. Outside of the classroom, Georgia enjoys traveling, spending time at the beach, being outdoors in nature, and making memories with her family. She looks forward to partnering with you and your child to support their educational journey!
