Angela P.

Angela is an experienced special education teacher and reading tutor with 7 years of experience working with elementary-aged students with a wide range of learning needs. She received her B.S. in Elementary and Special Education from the University of Delaware and holds Orton-Gillingham certification through Fairleigh Dickinson University, accredited by the Institute for Multi-Sensory Education. Angela currently teaches in an LLD (Language and Learning Disabilities) self-contained classroom, where she works with students with varying disabilities and individualized learning needs. She has a passion for reading and is especially dedicated to helping students develop strong foundational literacy skills through engaging, multisensory instruction. Angela believes that every student learns differently and takes the time to understand each student’s individual strengths, needs, skills, and interests. She loves building meaningful relationships with her students and creating engaging, personalized lessons that help them feel confident and successful. Her patient, supportive, and individualized approach allows students to feel comfortable taking risks and developing a love of learning. In her free time, Angela enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She loves traveling, dancing, and going to the beach!
