Allison V.

Allison is a Wilson Dyslexia Practitioner and literacy intervention specialist with more than 20 years of experience serving students in Colorado and Texas. She has worked as a classroom teacher, reading and math interventionist, special education teacher, dyslexia practitioner, and private dyslexia tutor, supporting students with dyslexia and other language-based learning differences through evidence-based, structured literacy instruction. Allison holds a Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Language Arts and English as a Second Language from the University of Northern Colorado and is a WRS Level I Certified Wilson Dyslexia Practitioner through Wilson Language Training. Her experience includes dyslexia screening, progress monitoring, Multi-Tiered Systems of Support implementation, family engagement, and individualized intervention using the Wilson Reading System, which is grounded in Orton-Gillingham principles. She is also an active member of the International Dyslexia Association. Passionate about helping students become confident readers, Allison partners closely with families to support literacy growth and student success. Outside of teaching, she enjoys reading, traveling, attending live music events, and exploring Colorado’s beautiful outdoor spaces.
