Alyssa B.

Alyssa is a dedicated educator with 10 years of private literacy tutoring experience and 8 years of classroom teaching experience across grades K–8. She has also developed literacy curricula for leading education companies and trained fellow educators in the Science of Reading. Alyssa holds a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Kansas State University, and is certified in the Orton-Gillingham Approach through the Nebraska Dyslexia Association. She is passionate about helping students become skilled, confident readers through structured, individualized instruction. Alyssa takes a “whole child” approach to tutoring, recognizing that building reading skills also means building confidence, independence, and a sense of accomplishment. She believes every child can make meaningful progress with the right tools and support. She strives to ease the stress reading struggles can bring to children and their families by creating a supportive environment where growth is celebrated. Outside of education, Alyssa enjoys practicing yoga, hiking, and collecting houseplants.
