Caryn A.

Caryn has over 30 years experience as an educator. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology and in Early Childhood Education. She holds a Massachusetts Teaching License for teaching pre-school through third grade and the Massachusetts Sheltered English Immersion Endorsement. Caryn has taught kindergarten, first, and second grades in public school, with experience working with all age groups. As a classroom teacher, Caryn was trained in various science reading programs and the implementation of many literacy assessments. Caryn is trained in Orton-Gillingham-based instruction through Orton-Gillingham Online Academy for all age groups. She is also trained as a Dyscalculia interventionist for all age groups through Dyscalculia Training Center. In 2014, Caryn left the classroom, and started a private practice providing individualized academic support and small group classes to students ranging from kindergarten through high school, in foundational literacy and foundational math fluency. During her free time, Caryn enjoys spending time with her husband and two daughters, reading and watching movies.
