Britney W.

Britney is a reading specialist and instructional coach with over 18 years of experience supporting young readers and the educators who teach them. She has worked across a range of roles, including first- and third-grade classroom teacher, literacy coach, assistant principal, and elementary principal, giving her a deep understanding of how reading instruction works across settings and for students with diverse learning needs. Britney earned a Master of Arts in Reading Science from Mount St. Joseph University and is a National Board Certified Teacher. She is also a Structured Literacy Dyslexia Specialist certified by the Center for Effective Reading Instruction (CERI). Throughout her career, Britney has supported struggling readers in both instructional and intervention settings. As a school leader, she led the implementation of Science of Reading practices and structured literacy systems. This experience informs her individualized, data-driven approach to tutoring, where instruction is carefully tailored to each student’s strengths and needs. Britney also creates research-based literacy resources for families and educators and designs literacy-rich learning experiences for a children’s museum. Britney lives in Arkansas with her husband and children. Outside of teaching, she enjoys traveling with her family, reading, thrifting, and painting.
