Erica B.

Erica has been teaching for 18 years, ten of which have been as a reading interventionist. She has taught all elementary grades except fifth grade, but working with small groups of students to help them overcome their reading struggles is where her heart lies. She is Orton-Gillingham trained from the Institute of Multisensory Education (IMSE). She also holds a master’s degree as a reading specialist from Regis University and is currently working to become a Certified Academic Language Therapist (CALT) through Academic Language Therapy (ALTA). In addition to working with small groups of students, she also supports her school and district with writing and maintaining goals for struggling readers. She provide teachers with interventions to best support their students. When she is not working, she enjoys time with her family. She has three very active children (a stepson, a son and a daughter), and she spends a lot time travelling between sporting events and playing family games. Erica lives in Colorado.
